It&#039;s definately ironic that even though Panderus is the old guy in the story, the word &quot;dye&quot; isn&#039;t attached to him like the word &quot;dye&quot; is associated with Troilus or Criseyde.  He&#039;s the old guy, shouldn&#039;t Panderus be the one dying soon???   We&#039;ve already established how immature Panderus is emotionally, and now Chaucer&#039;s use of the word &quot;dye&quot; seems to connect Panderus with a youth of years too...   What is up with that guy?</description>
