It's definately ironic that even though Panderus is the old guy in the story, the word "dye" isn't attached to him like the word "dye" is associated with Troilus or Criseyde. He's the old guy, shouldn't Panderus be the one dying soon??? We've already established how immature Panderus is emotionally, and now Chaucer's use of the word "dye" seems to connect Panderus with a youth of years too... What is up with that guy?
